His team also won the state title and he was the winner of the Aroostook League classical and freestyle. We asked him about this season surprises, what he was thinking about at the start line, and more.
We now spotlight Hadley Prewitt of Marshwood. She was the 2024 Class A Giant Slalom and Slalom state champion. She also won the SMAA GS and Slalom Championships. We asked her about the state meet, her favorite moment, and more.
We now spotlight Kaden Theriault of Fort Kent. He was the 2024 Class B Giant Slalom state champion. His team also won the Class B Alpine team title. We asked Kaden about his success, what suprised him this season, and more.
1) What were your preparations leading up to the state meet?
I Trained as much as I could.
2) How did you deal with the pressure and emotions that come along with competing in a state meet?
I've done a lot of racing and have skied in some bigger races than states, I knew there was still going to be some pressure, and I had to just have fun.
3) What was going through your mind at the starting gate?
To go as fast as I can without exceeding my limits.
4) What do you contribute your success to?
