Schedule of Events
3:00 pm – Lift 2 running for nordic competitors / Bunny & Beagle closed to alpine
skiing for those who wish to ski uphill to the start.
3:20 pm – Line up skis, and start format explained to competitors.
3:30 pm – Mass Start from the flats below Lift 2 shack.
Format
This is primarily a FUN downhill race, 125m total descent, with about 25m total
climb; ~3.5K.
OPEN TO ALL AGES, ANYONE WHO ENJOYS DOWNHILL ON NORDIC SKIS.
NO FLUORO WAXES OR METAL EDGES ALLOWED.
HELMETS (any style: bike, ski, kayak) RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED.
“Le mans” start procedure: all athletes will lay skis and poles at the side of the
trail in bib order and start at a starting line about 10m below the skis. Mass Start
begins, athletes must put on their skis, and pull away from the trail side before
heading up to the high point of the nordic trails. The course will be clearly
marked by 1 pm for preview. Finish will be in the stadium.
Entry Fee & Registration (PAY AT BIB PICK-UP, IN THE LODGE 1:30-2:30)
$5 for Farmington Ski Club Members
$5 PLUS a trail pass ($10) for non-members (access all day to nordic trails)
$10 PLUS a trail pass ($10) for Day-Of-Race registration
