The 2025 WMC Nordic Championships began today with the classical competition at Stark's Hill in Fryeburg. In the boys race, Tait Harvey of Greely took the gold with a winning time of 14:00.2. In second place was Owen Dawson of Freeport with a time of 14:26.9. In third place was Alexander Gordon of Yarmouth with a time of 15:19.3. In the girls race, Rowan Barry of Greely took the gold with a winning time of 17:07.9. Leah Kramer of Waynflete was second with a time of 17:40.8. Isa Waterman of Gray New Gloucester was third with a time of 17:48.4. The Yarmouth boys and the Freeport girls take the lead after day 1. The WMC Nordic Championships conclude on Saturday with the freestyle pursuit. RESULTS
