Several races occurred on Wednesday, February 10th across the state in Alpine and Nordic.  In Alpine, at the SMAA Giant Slalom at Shawnee Peak, Madeline Jacobsen of Falmouth had the fastest combined time with a 1:04.44 and Andrew Christie also of Falmouth was the top male with a combined time of 1:02.31.  A race was held at Saddleback for the first tine in many years with a KVAC/MVC giant slalom event.  Sam McKee of Maranacook was the fastest boy with a combined time of 1:25.95.  Sadie McDonough of Mt. Blue was the fastest girl with a combined time of 1:29.65.  There was an Aroostook Slalom race, Pierre Hickey of Madawaska won both slalom races.  On the girls side, Edie Shea of Caribou and teammate Macy Wakem were top two in the first race. In the second race, Jess Cobb of Greenville and Ella Voisine of Caribou were  top two.

In Nordic, Emma Charles of Mt. Blue and Ellis Slover of Edward Little won the Mt. Abram Classic at Sugarloaf.  Emma's top time was 17:04 and Ellis' top time was 15:38.  In the WMC Freestyle race at Libby Hill, Joey Rouhana of Falmouth was the fastest boy with a time of 15:13 and Eva Clement also of Falmouth was the fastest girl with a time of 18:22.  In the WMC Freestyle race at Pineland, Alanna Nataluk of Fryeburg won the girls race with a time of 19:31 and Leif Harvey of Greely won the boys race with a time of 16:57.  COMPLETE RESULTS  |  PHOTO GALLERY OF MT ABRAM CLASSIC RACE
