The Orono, Maine Middle School Nordic Ski Team is in need of a head coach (and assistant coach) for the upcoming ski season. If they don't find someone the program will not be able to run. As you all know, Orono Schools is the only school in Penobscot County that has a Nordic team, and the middle school gives the athletes the skills and confidence to compete when they get to the high school level. There habeen such a great group of young skiers come up through the Penobscot Valley Ski Club Ski Farm program, it would be sad to see their ski opportunities in middle school limited due to lack of coaches.
