Waynflete Girls and Fort Kent Boys Win Class C Team Title

944A6472944A6417Day 2 of the MPA Class C Nordic State Championships was held on Tuesday at the Fort Kent Outdoor Center with the 5K freestyle pursuit and it was repeat winners.  In the girls freestyle, Clara White of Orono is the 2026 Class C Freestyle state champion.  She also won the classical state title.  Her winning time was 15:02.2.  The runner up was Addison Chasse of Fort Kent with a time of 18:41.8.  In third place was Anna Scott of Maine Coast with a time of 19:03.0.  In the pursuit (classical and freestyle times combined), Clara White captured the pursuit title while Addison Chasse was second and Nyssa Wilkinson of Waynflete was third.  In the boys freestyle, Alden Reardon of Fort Kent is the 2026 Class C Freestyle state champion.  Alden also won the classical title and has won every single MPA Nordic race since his freshman year.  His winning time was 13:55.4.  The runner up was Ben Chartier of Fort Fairfield with a time of 14:28.1.  In third place was Finley Marquis of Fort Kent with a time of 15:13.2.  In the pursuit, Alden was first, Ben was second, and Fionn Mattson of Maine Coast was third.  For the team title, the Waynflete girls and the Fort Kent boys are the 2026 Class C team state champions.  The Fort Kent girls and the Winthrop boys were runners-up.  Also congratulations to the Waynflete boys and girls team for receiving the MPA Class C Sportsmanship Award.  RESULTS AWARDS PHOTOS
