The 2025 MPA Class A Alpine State Championships began today at Titcomb Mtnin Farmington with the slalom competition. In the boys slalom, Ian Christie of Falmouth is the 2025 Class A slalom state champion. His winning combined time was 1:14:08. In second place was Landon Marquis of Camden with a combined time of 1:14.53. In third place was Merrik Icozilli of Fryeburg with a combined time of 1:14.55. In the girls slalom, Sophie Simard of Leavitt is the 2025 Class A slalom state champion. Her winning combined time was 1:20.74. In second place was Maddie Ranger of Edward Little with a combined time of 1:22.64. In third place was Ella Morse of Falmouth with a combined time of 1:22.87. The Falmouth boys and the Camden Hills girls take the lead after day 1. The Class A Alpine state championships conclude on Tuesday with the giant slalom at Sugarloaf.
