Greely Girls and Yarmouth Boys Win Class B Title

Day 2 of the MPA Class B Nordic State Championships was held on Tuesday at the Fort Kent Outdoor Center with the 5K freestyle pursuit. In the girls freestyle, Rowan Barry of Greely is the 2026 Class B Freestyle state champion. Her winning time was 16:50.8. The runner up was Evelyn Lacasse of Greely with a time of 17:12.0. In third place was Emma Graves of Caribou with a time of 17:12.2. In the pursuit (classical and freestyle times combined), Evelyn Lacasse captured the pursuit title while Rowan Barry was second and Emma Graves was third. In the boys freestyle, Alexander Gordon of Yarmouth is the 2026 Class B Freestyle state champion. Alexander also won the classical title. His winning time was 14:10.9. The runner up was Leif Hellstedt of Yarmouth with a time of 14:25.5. In third place was Jackie Chalmers of Yarmouth with a time of 14:47.3. In the pursuit, Alexander was first, Leif was second, and Jackie was third. For the team title, the Greely girls and the Yarmouth boys are the 2026 Class B team state champions. The Caribou girls and the Greely boys were runners-up. Also congratulations to the Yarmouth boys and girls team for receiving the MPA Class B Sportsmanship Award. RESULTS | AWARDS PHOTOS
