Day 1 of the 2026 MPA Class B Nordic State Championships were held today at the Fort Kent Outdoor Center. It was the 5K individual classical race. In the girls race, Evelyn Lacasse of Greely is the 2026 Class B Classical state champion. She had a winning time of 19:47.0. The Class B runner-up was Ida Waterman of Gray New Gloucester with a time of 20:20.2. In third place was Rowan Barrt of Greely with a time of 20:33.3. In the boys classical race, Alexander Gordon of Yarmouth is the 2026 MPA Class B Classical state champion. He had a winning time of 16:14.7. The Class B runner-up was Leif Hellstedt of Yarmouth with a time of 16:21.9. In third place was Peter Colianni of Greely with a time of 16:28.4. Day 2 of the MPA Class B Nordic state championships is on Tuesday with the 5K freestyle pursuit. The team scores will be based off of the pursit finish. RESULTS
