Fort Kent Community High School secured the Boys and Girls Aroostook League Ski Combined Championships with first place finishes in Alpine action Saturday in Fort Kent at Lonesome Pines Trails.

 

The Lady Warriors defeated second place Caribou (142) with a combined total of 120 in four events.  Fort Kent finished close second in Nordic Action on Tuesdayand Thursday behind Caribou but were able to win both the Giant Slalom and Slalom on Saturday to take home the title.  On the boys side, the host Warriors also won the Giant Slalom and Slalom to out distance second place Presque Isle 93-160 for the combined championship.

Fort Kent was also able to capture both Ski Meister trophies as Alexa Pelletier defeated Caribou’s Ciara Richards behind the strength of first place finishes in the Giant Slalom and Slalom Saturday.  David Roy of Fort Kent defeated Presque Isle’s Nick Bartlett with a balanced effort as he finished sixth in the Slalom, 11th in the Giant Slalom, fourth in Freestyle and 14th in Classical.

 Also on Saturday, Fort Kent senior Carter Voisine won both the Giant Slalom and Slalom races.  COMPLETE RESULTS
