The 2022 U16/EHSC Maine Nordic team selection race is on Saturday, March 5th at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. The day begins with the 5K classical at 10:30am for girls and at 11:30am for boys. The start lists are now posted for the classical races. GIRLS START LIST | BOYS START LIST
After the races Saturday at the SOC each athlete will be called down, asked if they are going to the NENSA race(s) and hand Sally (NOT Buzz!!!) a check made out to Maine Nordic for the appropriate amount right then. They will be able to buy the coveted Maine Nordic Team jackets after the ceremony with a SEPARATE check for $110 made out to Maine Nordic.
Team fee for U16s is $320, which includes a bus, Saturday night dinner and lodging for Saturday night. Team fee for EHSC is $190 but doesn’t include lodging, meals or a bus.
We will have rapid Covid tests at each Nensa race. Any athlete who feels ill will take a test. If they are positive they will isolate and the parent will IMMEDIATELY come get them. Any U16 athlete who tests positive will NOT ride the bus home. Athletes will be masked on the U16 bus and at all team meetings at both events. The safety of our athletes and coaches is a priority: please respect each other and do your part.
