Rumford--Day 1 of the MVC Alpine Championships were held today at Black Mtn with the giant slalom competition. Abbey Landry of Telstar
is the 2020 MVC Giant Slalom Champion. Her winning combined time was 1:48.14. Bailey Coates of Spruce Mtn was second and Bristol Quimby of Rangeley was third. For the boys, Charlie Pye of Rangeley is the 2020 MVC Giant Slalom Champion. His winning combined time was 2:03.61. Jack Gilbert of Spruce Mtn was second and Sullivan Butler of Mt. Abram was third.
