Rumford--Day 1 of the MVC Nordic Skiing Championships were held today at historic Black Mtn under sunny skies. In the MVC grils 
freestyle, Leah Ruck of Orono is the 2020 MVC Freestyle Champion. Her winning time was 17:10.8. Sam Allen of Winthrop was second and Emily Kidd of Mt. Abram was third. In the MVC boys freestyle, Alex Hemingway of Mt. Abram is the 2020 MVC Freestyle Champion. His winning time was 13:14.2. Cam Walters of Mt. Abram and Abrahm Geisinger of Spruce Mtn was third.
