The Pineland Ski and Outing Club is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the Andover Winter Carnival. This event caters to cross country ski, sledding and snowshoe enthusiasts of all ages. There series of events for the day. Free events include sledding, guided ski and snowshoe tours of the Akers Family trails, “self-ie” scavenger hunt, and fun agility course to test maneuverability for all ages. Fee events are the 2 person team sprints (ages 14 and under) and the “Bumps Run,” an interval start downhill cross country ski challenge for all ages. 9:00am-3:00pm “Self-ie” scavenger hunt, agility course, touring trails open
9:30-10:30am Team Sprints, start/finish by the “bog” at the Akers Family Trails
10:30am Ski and Snowshoe Tours depart from Andover Elementary School
10:40am Ski and Snowshoe Tours depart from Relay start/finish
Noon-1:00pm Lunch break – the 5 th grade class is hosting a chili/chowder cook-off, with
samples available at 6 for $5.00. Cups available for $3.00 and bowls for
$5.00. Bottled water is $1.00. Baked goods available for purchase as well.
All proceeds help support their end of the year field trip.
