Under sunny skies and over great corduroy conditions, the high school Nordic race season got underway with the Chenard Opener at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. Ethan Livingood of Falmouth and Emma Charles of Mt. Blue each opened the season with a win. Luke Bartol of Maranacook and Nate Livingood of Falmouth were 2nd and 3rd respectively. Lilo Bean of Gould Academy and Gwinna Remillard of Central Maine Ski Club were 2nd and 3rd respectively for the girls.
