RACE INFO: Posted December 12th: Alpine: Maranacook Ski Meister Slalom: Date: January 21st Start time: 9:00am, Registration to start at 7:00 and lift available by 8:00. Entry Fee: $12.00 Site: Kents Hill Ski Slope. *Please note any skiers that are ski meisters and planning to do the slalom in the morning and the Nordic Wave race at Maranacook in the afternoon so we can seed them appropriately. **There will be awards for the slalom race as well as the top ski meisters. The slalom awards will be given out at the end of the slalom race and the ski meister plaques will be given out at the end of the wave race. The Maine Winter Sports Center, a ski club in Northern Maine, is selling calendars of the National Nordic Foundation, an organization which promotes and supports the development of skiers throughout the country. The calendars, which are $20 each, help the NNF and MWSC support its athletes as well as the communities they serve. If you are a ski enthusiast of any kind, this is the calendar to have, and it makes a great Holiday gift! ANNOUNCEMENT: Posted November 21st: Gould Thanksgiving Camp: Gould Academy has spaces left on its Thanksgiving training camp to Foret Montmorency. The trip leaves Bethel, Maine on Friday 11/25 and returns on 11/30. The cost is $385 and includes lodging in Stoneham, Qc, food, gas, tickets to the ski center at Foret for five days of early season skiing and training, lots of one-on-one coaching, and the opportunity to train with a great group of skiers.
