Maranacook High School's Thatcher Riley and Yarmouth High School's Logan MacLeod will headline a Maine Alpine Team that will compete in the Eastern High School Alpine Championships at Cannon Mountain in Franconia, NH from March 6-9. Each gender team was selected based on their performances in the Giant Slalom and Slalom races at Black Mountain of Maine on Thursday. Racers are scored on their best finish of any of the two runs in each of the two disciplines. Riley had 1st place finishes in one heat of each discipline, giving him the minimun 2 points. Joining Thatcher on the team are Landon Marquis of Camden HS, who also score 2 points, Ian Christie of Falmouth HS, Cooper Dodge of York, Merrik Icozilli of Fryeburg Academy, Dylan Cobb of Poland HS, Quinn Maguire of Marshwook HS, Kaden Salsbury of Skowhegan HS, Tristan Riley of Maranacook Hs and Edison Sleeper of Caribou HS. MacLeod also scored two points to lead the women. Joining her to represent Maine are Phoebe Bell of Maranacook, Lily Boulanger of Mountain Valley HS, Ellie Porter of Edward Little HS, Margo Hesson of Falmouth HS, Clara Ferrie of Scarborough HS, Bridget Jacobsen of Falmouth HS, Gianna Devivo of Oxford Hills HS, Ella Morse of Falmouth HS, and Kamryn Martin of Fort Kent HS.
