Tyler Fish, a Bates College alumni of the class of 1996 and
elite nordic
ski racer, successfully completed the first unsupported American
cross-country ski expedition to the North Pole in April 2009. With his
companion, he traveled from Ellesmere Island to the Pole, a distance of
500 miles in 55 days, hauling 650 pounds of supplies and gear, without
receiving any outside help or food drops. Join Bates students, faculty,
staff, and alumni this Saturday for an amazing presentation about his
exciting and arduous journey.
